Head of Application Support

Head of Application Support is sought by a leading Financial Services company in Zurich to take ownership as an application support expert, covering both the business and technology sides of client interaction and support. In this position you will lead a team of support engineers, represent the company towards our clients

As Head of Application Support head up the ensure delivery of Risk Management software and services that are properly quality assured, packaged, documented and supportable from the ground up. The team you lead will support on both business and technology topics relevant to my client’s Risk products, backed up by the software development and quantitative teams.

The team also acts as subject matter experts in the areas of supportable architectures, client processes, quality automation, packaging and client support. Working in an environment with the following technologies Java, Python, SQL and containerized applications Docker/Kubernetes and supporting version control tools,

As Head of Application Support you will demonstrate profound understanding of technology and the challenges within implementation and support. This opportunity has scope to further your expertise in influencing and delivering solutions at a company who value and promote innovation. Head of Application Support permanent profile required

  • Ability to lead a team with excellent skills in Application Support.
  • Must have a background in Financial Services previously ideally with some knowledge of Risk Management or Derivatives
  • A technical background in Java, Python, SQL, Git-Maven-Nexus-Jenkins, web services and sites,
  • Knowledgeable and experienced in cloud environments such as AWS/Google Cloud/MS Azure and containerized applications (Docker/Kubernetes)
  • Solid skills in BitBucket, JIRA, Confluence
  • Must be customer-orientated with excellent abilities requirements analysis, specification and modeling
  • Must have excellent skills speaking English, German speaking skills are beneficial.

Salary: CHF 135,000 – 150,000 PA plus bonus package.

Location: Zurich.
