Raise money for World Child Cancer…

The four words, ‘your child has cancer’ are heard by over 300,000 parents worldwide every year. What happens to these children and their families after diagnosis depends largely on where they live.
In the developed world over 80% of these children will survive. In the developing world survival rates are as low as 10%.
In addition, many children with cancer will die without effective pain relief.

World Child Cancer is a small, but ambitious UK based charity specialising in the care of children with cancer in the developing world.
Their vision is to see a world where every child with cancer has access to the best possible treatment and care. To achieve this, we aim to improve cancer diagnosis, treatment and care for children across the developing world.
They currently support childhood cancer projects in 14 countries including Ghana, Malawi, Cameroon, Philippines, Myanmar and Bangladesh. We also support a collaborative Wilms’ tumour Africa project in Malawi, Cameroon, Ghana and Ethiopia.
In 2014 they helped over 3,400 children with cancer and facilitated training for more than 1,000 healthcare professionals.

On the 11th October, 2015 they have their largest running team taking part in the Royal Parks Half Marathon in London. With 150 runners on the team, they are hoping to raise an incredible £50,000 from the event. This would be enough to run the entire project in Malawi for over a year. If you would like to make a donation please click here www.worldchildcancer.org/donate. A donation, big or smaller will make a huge different to their work. £10 is enough to provide pain relief for four children for a whole week. Your support will change the lives of children with cancer.

Thank you so much – your support would mean everything to them. For more information on their work please visit their website www.worldchildcancer.org
